A.N.OTHER DOG WALKER PRINCIPLES

Our service works with you, as the owner, and your dog to identify walking and training goals and work towards the lifestyle you want to have for your dogs. We use principles of Occupational Therapy, taking a holistic approach to understanding your dogs needs to help them to engage in meaningful activities and establish effective relationships with us and other dogs.
To do this, we have a three tier system based on your dogs training levels and social skills to make sure your dog is able to fulfil their full potential.
For all new customers we provide a free initial assessment. This is a chance for us to assess where your dog will best fit within our groups, as well as for you to get to know the person you are trusting your doggy pal with.
All dogs are welcome, please do get in touch.

DOG WALKING SERVICES

Following your free assessment your dog will be placed within our Three Step programme
based on their current skillset, with potential to progress through the stages.
We require dogs to have a minimum of 2 walks a week to help provide consistency with training and any groups on the service.

We provide a door-to-door service, starting the time of our walk from the time
we get to our location, are out of the van and ready to go.

Our van is kitted out with a custom made crate system that is fully lined and insulated, has a fan based cooling system,  escape hatches (should they ever be needed) and cool lighting for the winter months. All dogs have fresh water available throughout their journey.

STEP ONE -
TRAINING WALK

The first step is  tailored to meet the individual needs of each dog.
Whether it's working on lead walking skills, neutrality around other dogs, basic obedience or  confidence in a new environment.

We set training goals that work for you and your dog to help them develop the necessary skills to be part of a pack.

We use play inspired by natural behaviour to help fulfil your dogs needs and make sure that every outing is filled with fun.

STEP TWO -STRUCTURED WALK

The second step builds on the foundations set in step one and aims to work towards integrating your dog into a pack (there will be a maximum pack group sizes of 5 dogs).

We aim to keep group sizes small and group dogs based on how their personalities will compliment each to set them up for success within the group.

Like step one, we will venture out to a number of different areas locally to make sure that every opportunity we can is filled with fun.

STEP THREE -ADVENTURE WALK

Finally our adventure walks are suitable for dogs that have completed step one and two and have solid recall, general obedience and are able to enjoy spending time around other dogs.

The aim is to provide a mini adventure, with periods of

off-lead time where suitable, in various locations locally.

These adventure sessions will be a blend play, rest, and mental stimulation, ensuring an enriching experience for your dog while with us.
